Biography of Mr Aung Lin

 

Mr. Aung Lin is the conservation biologist, as well as a conservation project trainer, especially expert in development and management of community-based Western Hoolock Gibbon conservation program and survey project in Pauk Sa Mountain under the FFI Fauna & Flora International Myanmar Program through the whole Myanmar.

Birth Date & Birth Place : Born in 9 August 1985 , Kyaukpadaung City, Mandalay Region, Myanmar(Burma)

Experience:

  1. Start working in Kyauksae Wildlife Sanctuary and Forest Department as a Forest Ranger from 2005 and 2011.He tried to organized local community in the patrolling participation activities  such as preventing from hunting of wildlife species, illegal selling wildlife parts and cutting tree in the wildlife sanctuary and park  ,and also is a Full Time Officer at FFI (Fauna & Floral International).
  2. He has at least 8 years’ experience in conservation work and now leads field survey in FFI Primate and Karst project. He did biodiversity survey, camera trap survey, conservation awareness program. He is now leading the biodiversity survey team for Karst Biodiversity and Primate.
  3. He has been to Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia for his Gibbon and Cave training and workshop. He is responsible for development of Community-based tourism based on Western Hoolock Gibbon Watching in Pauk Sa Mountain at Ngaphe Township , Magway Region , Myanmar. He organizes our Western Hoolock Gibbon Watching team and also shows you the site of Western Hoolock Gibbon and their environment.
