Bird Watching in Myanmar

Myanmar is unique in the world in its biodiversity. It offers outstanding nature, wildlife and birds watching / birding opportunities in its ecotourism, birds watching / birding sites. It is the second largest country in South East Asia, 676,577 sq km and lies on the boundaries of continental South East Asia, Indian Subcontinent and Tibetan plateau. And, also wintering Spoon-billed Sandpiper (Eurynorhynchuspygmeus) was rediscovered in January 2008, after a gap of almost 131 years, wintering Nordmann’s Greenshank Tringaguttifer was in 2006, after a gap of almost 129 years and Gurney’s Pitta Pittagurneyiwas rediscovered in 2003, after a gap of almost 90 years.

Gibbon Watching

Western Hoolock Gibbon is the Endangered Species (IUCN 3.8) .They are found in Western parts of Myanmar. These species are the important seed disperser. You can enjoy the nature such as coffee, pepper, avocado plantations, pine trees and happy with local Asho Chin tribe and their life and habitants as well as trekking around the Pauksa Mountain.

Archaeology

Myanmar is the home of the cultural historical sites. The three UNESCO Heritages sites in Myanmar are Hanlin, Baikthanoe and Sriksetra in the period of 5th to 7th century. The upper Myanmar such as Bagan, Mandalay, Innwa and Bagan are well famous because of its ruins royal, religious , ancient monuments and its irrigation system as well as the southern parts of Myanmar was called the Thuwannabumi and its ancient city like Thahton, Mawlamyaing,Bago, Htawee (Tavoy).

Cycling

Your cycling round Myanmar will cut through quiet back-roads between rice fields, temples, and scenic countryside. Passing through many small villages, you will find the people curious, friendly and polite. We will share the road with ox carts, other cyclists, and excited children. Most rides are on country lanes with almost lack of traffic.

Trekking and Hiking

The mountain ranges are Shan plateau from the East, Rakhine Naga Land and famous Chin Hill from the West, the snow-capped mountain called Hkakaborazi and Hponekanrazi from the North of Myanmar. They are the best places for worth trekking in Myanmar. You can enjoy the natural beauty of mountain as well as meet with the diverse ethic tribes.

Cruise

Ayeyarwaddy River is the longest and main river in Myanmar. It has about 1373 miles (2210 km) and an extension network of irrigation canals. Along this river, you can enjoy the scenery of the river and visit the villages on the way and sunset from the cruise. If you have a chance, you will see the endangered species, the Ayeyarwaddy Dolphin on your journey.

Beaches
